Blakelock

General Information

  • Property covers 6,977 ha (340 claims) and is 100% held by Harfang subject to a 2% NSR royalty. Harfang has the right to repurchase 1% for $1.0 million CDN at any time.
  • Located 60 km west of the Casa Berardi gold mine and 50 km south of the Detour Lake gold mine in northeastern Ontario
  • Accessible by air transportation (helicopter or floatplane) and by road on the eastern portion
  • Property covers 15 km of the prospective Casa Berardi Deformation Zone (CBCZ) in the western extent of the Northern Abitibi Greenstone Belt.  The rocks consist of a greenschist facies metavolcanic and metasedimentary rocks along with an intensely altered and mineralized quartz-feldspar porphyry
  • The sediment package transgressing the southern portion of the property represents a prime exploration target which has received little drilling. Structural contrasts between adjacent rock types within and along the margins of this sedimentary sequence represent excellent exploration targets.

Highlights

  • Previous shallow drilling has yielded high-grade gold intersections from the Porphyry Creek zone including 10.9 g/t Au and 95.7 g/t Ag over 10.25 metres including 210 g/t Au and 1200 g/t Ag over 0.4 metres, Esso Minerals (1988) and 1.26 g/t Au over 5.9 metres and 11.53 g/t Au over 6.0 metres including 81.9 g/t Au over 0.7 metres (Lake Shore Gold Corp. 2008-2012).
  • Historic RC drilling in the NW part of the property returned anomalous results including 2.16 g/t over 1.2 metres and 1.75 g/t over 0.5 metres.
  • South and southwest of Porphyry Creek, historic drilling encountered 1.39 g/t over 5.9 metres, 2.87 g/t over 1.0m and 2.6 g/t over 1.5 metres
  • Specific existing and untested RC bedrock chip anomalies occur in the following areas:
    • 24 to 0.56 g/t Au 3 to 3.5 km east of the Porphyry Creek zone
    • An untested gold in till anomaly of 3.47 g/t, 3.5 km east of the Porphyry Creek zone.
    • 10 to 0.20 g/t Au 1200 metres southwest of the Porphyry Creek zone
  • Recent work in 2021 includes detailed LiDAR and airborne magnetic surveys

Upcoming Exploration Program

  • IP geophysics would help define areas of elevated chargeability related to sulphide mineralization that may be associated with gold mineralization
  • Diamond drilling anticipated in Winter 2023 to test IP geophysical targets and structural targets
